The Girl Guides Association of South Africa (GGASA) won a bid to host the 33rd World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). This event took place at the Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre in Boksburg in July 2008 and was attended by 550 delegates from 145 countries. Go Girl Events (Pty) Ltd was contracted by the GGASA to manage the event on their behalf. The contractual period was from August 2006 to August 2008. Even prior to the contract, Go Girl Events was on board and supported the
GGASA in the preparation phase for the bid in 2005.

Throughout the period of our working with Go Girl Events we were struck by the high degree of professionalism demonstrated by the staff and especially Anelja de Bok who has become a true Friend of Guiding. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

Go Girl Events provided an absolutely outstanding service including all conference and delegate arrangements with the Birchwood Hotel, support letters for visa applications for delegates, supplier services, conference social events and excursions and post event tours. Their management fee was very reasonable and was definitely value for money. I would only use Go Girl Events for any future such events of the GGASA and I would have no hesitation in highly recommending them to any other client.

African Earth Events were the event managers for the ICC awards, 2007 held in Johannesburg, South Africa. They were responsible for the event in its entirety, right from conceptualization, invitations, décor, flow of the evening, running order, media management and arrangement, TV production, player arrangements (transportation, security, movement) and guest handling.

They were thoroughly professional in their approach and delivery of the awards and it was by far the best ICC awards, judging by the appreciation by all the present and numerous media reports. Though the ICC awards were in its fourth year African Earth Events were enterprising and creative to give the shop a new perspective. Their team was ever smiling, ever helpful and went beyond the call of their scope and they definitely exceeded our expectations
